Girls T&F Runs to 3rd Place at County Meet

The girls' track and field team finished the County meet in third place behind Plainfield and Avon Tuesday night with a final score of 157-149.5-142. Freshman Lauren Rinehart and Brooke Dixon went first and second in the 1600. Lauren followed that with a first place finish in the 800 with freshman Carly Altier behind her in second! Mackenzie Harless finished runner-up with a season best jump of 5'2". Joy Sopitan also had a runner-up finish in the 200 with a time of 26.99. Roni Roberts and Katie Weldy had their best throws of the season in the discus with a fourth and sixth place finish. Mackenzie Barrett set a personal best in the 400 with a time of 62.80 for a fourth place finish. Brooke Dixon and Emma Cougill placed third and fourth in the 3200.  Freshman Mackenzie Stien finished the 100 hurdles in third place. The girls host Avon and Western Boone next Tuesday and Thursday at home. Go Bulldogs!
