Girls Tennis Beats Plainfield, falls to Avon in Sectional

The Bulldogs defeated Plainfield 3-2 in the semi-fnials with great efforts from #2 singles Izzy Roberts, #3 singles Grace Suiter, and #2 doubles Sophi Naberhaus and Marisa Petrunich.  The finals match was a classic battle which featured two tie-breaks for the match.  Eleanor Hughes put Brownsburg up 1-0 with a commanding 6-4, 6-4 victory.  Next, we were defeated at #2 singles and #1 doubles in competitive matches to go down 1-2 in the match.  The match was decided by the narrowest of margins in a loss at #2 doubles 6-3, 2-6, 6-7 (9).  This match was full of suspense and drama as we fought hard and held off many match-points before eventually falling in a spectacular tie-break.  Lastly, Senior Grace Suiter ended her career with a victory 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(4) to give Brownsburg another point.
