The Brownsburg varsity Girls' soccer team defeated No. 14 Zionsville 1-0 in their regular season finale on October 2nd. Kylie Conrad's goal in the 77th minute sealed a 1-0 win for the Bulldogs on Senior Night.

The program celebreated the seven members of its senior class prior to the matchup with the Eagles. Sara Budd, Breana Montgomery, Emma Risk, Emma Chambers, Kalaina Stephens, Madeline Dawson and Courtney Kreilein were all honored.

In the match, the Bulldogs were outshot and outchanced but found a way to come away with a dramatic win. The result gave the Bulldogs a 7-match home unbeaten streak to close the regular season.

Neither team scored in what was a sluggish first half for the Bulldogs. Goalkeeper Alanna Dixon was tested throughout the first 40 minutes and she held strong for the Bulldogs.

In the 15th minute, the Eagles sent in a free kick from deep in the near corner. Dixon stretched for a jump-save that kept the match scoreless.

The second half was full of decent runs on both sides. The Bulldogs would capitalize with a "grind-it-out" performance to get the win.

Conrad's goal came off a free kick from near midfield. The ball was sent in and she scored her sixth of the season.

The win was Alanna Dixon's sixth clean sheet of the 2019 season. She has allowed just one goal in the last three matches.

Next up for the Bulldogs is the IHSAA Girls' Soccer State tournament. The Bulldogs will play Mooresville in IHSAA Class 3A Sectional 9 at Decatur Central.

Brownsburg is looking to win their first sectional championship since 2012.
