In their second Hoosier Crossroads conference match of the season, the varsity girls soccer team tied Franklin Central 1-1. The result moved the Bulldogs to 1-1-2 on the 2019 season.

In the 30th minute, Kylie Conrad scored the lone goal of the match for the Bulldogs off an assist from Chloe Gill. That chance came from the top of the box to beat the Flashes' goalkeeper.

Alanna Dixon would preserve the Bulldogs lead with a highlight-reel diving save in the 39th minute. That kept Brownsburg on top 1-0 at the break.

The Bulldogs would threaten to add to their lead on numerous pccasions in the second half but to no avail. Jayden Gibson sent in a pair of early corner kicks back to back that nearly gave the Bulldogs another goal. In the 56th minute, Kylie Conrad had an eye-opening chance from the near side that bounced wide after the goalkeeper just got a piece of the ball.

The Flashes would find the equalizer in the 74th minute after a corner kick from the short side.

The Bulldogs will host defending IHSAA Class 2A state champion Cathedral in their next matchup on Sept. 4. Tickets: https://bit.ly/2keG1Sy
