Softball Picks Up Win Over Lawrence Central

The Bulldogs defeated the Lawrence Central Bears 14-4 Wednesday night in a quick 5 inning upset. Sydney Rodegheir led the pack going 3 for 3 on the night with not 1, but 2 homeruns. She had a total of 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Marah Wood also had a hot bat at the plate with a triple and a double for the evening. She also had 2 RBIs and scored 1 run. Maicey Bedrick and Hayley Huff both had 2 hits as well, and a combined total of 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored between the two of them. Other Bulldogs with hits were Mackenzie Bedrick, Anna Carroll, Kaylee Larkin, Rachel Young, Vivianne Harris, Sophie Bosket and senior, Ciara Casteel who also had a solo homerun for the Bulldogs. Brownsburg had a combined 16 hits total as a team.

                Freshman, Kaylee Larkin was the winning pitcher leading the charge Wednesday night. She tossed all 5 innings, striking out 5 and giving up only 6 hits. The Bulldogs are back in action Thursday night at Roncalli for a non-conference matchup. They will be back at home Friday against Tri-West at 5pm. Go Bulldogs!
