Softball Defeats Zionsville

The Bulldogs faced off against the Zionsville Eagles last night in their third conference game of the season. They defeated the Eagles 16-4 in a five inning game. The Bulldogs had a combined team total of 18 hits throughout the night. They were led by Sydney Rodegheir and Marah Wood at the plate. Both Wood and Rodegheir had home runs for the Bulldogs and each had two hits for the night. Wood had 5 RBIs and Rodegheir had 2. Other Bulldogs who were hot at the plate were Mackenzie Bedrick who was 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored, Kaylee Larkin who had 2 hits, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs, Kelsey Endress who was 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and Maicey Bedrick who was 3 for 3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.

The winning pitcher in the circle against the Eagles was freshman, Kelsey Endress. Endress pitched 3 of the 5 innings giving up only 2 hits and striking out 5. Maddy Edwards came in to close out the contest giving up 3 hits and striking out one.

The Bulldogs will take a break until Friday night when they head up to Carmel for a tournament that is set to be played Friday and Saturday. They will play at 8pm on Friday and 9am and 1pm on Saturday. Go Dogs!
