No. 4 @bhsdogsbxc clinches spot in IHSAA Cross Country State Finals

BOYS STATE TOURNAMENT | FULL RESULTS

The Brownsburg boys' cross country team competed in the IHSAA Cross Country Semi-State at Blue River Park in Shelbyville on October 26th. The Bulldogs finished 4th out of the 20 teams running at the meet and to advance to the 2019 IHSAA Cross Country State Finals next weekend. 

The current Bulldogs are the first Brownsburg boys cross country team to ever clinch a spot in the IHSAA Cross Country State finals. 

Three of the top six teams in the IATCCC polls ran at Shelbyville this weekend.

Avon, Batesville, Ben Davis, No. 2 Brebeuf, No. 4 Brownsburg, Cambridge City, No. 3 Carmel, Cathedral, No. 10 Center Grove, Franklin, No. 19 Franklin Central, Greenwood, Mt. Vernon, No. 15 Noblesville, No. 16 North Central, Plainfield, Roncalli, Warren Central, Whiteland and No. 7 Zionsville all ran at the meet. 

Brownsburg finished ahead of four ranked teams to claim their spot at the state meet. 

Individually, Alexander Freeman led the way for Brownsburg with an 9th-place performance. Trevor Nolan and Jacob Kodrick also notched top-30 finishes at the Semi-State.

     Up Next

The Bulldogs will run in the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals next week at Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The meet is set to kick off at 1 p.m for the boys runners.
