Brownsburg Cross Country heads to Terre Haute for Nike Valley Twilight

The Brownsburg Boys' and Girls' cross-country teams will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana tomorrow (October 5th) for the 2019 Nike Valley Twilight at the Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course.

The girls' race is set for 8:30 p.m. while the boys will kick off at 9:00 p.m.

A loaded Field

The meet features over 25 teams from Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri.

On the boy's side, 21 of those teams are ranked in their states respective Cross-Country Polls. Six teams are ranked in the IATCCC top-five including No. 2 Carmel, No. 3 Fishers and No. 4 Noblesville.

The No. 1 team from Kentucky, 2018 KHSAA State Champion Trinity School for the Boys, will compete.

Sixteen of the girls' teams competing are ranked. That list includes the top teams from Ohio and Indiana. (Beavercreek and Zionsville)

Of the fourteen Indiana girls' teams, four are ranked in the IATCCC top-five.

Last time out

The Bulldogs competed at the 2019 Hoosier Crossroads Conference Cross Country Championships last weekend at Brownsburg East Middle School.  

The boys' team finished second at HCC while the girls came away with a fourth-place finish.

Brownsburg notched three All-HCC selections at the meet as Brooke Dixon, Trevor Nolan and Alex Freeman each finished in the top-ten.

The boys', who posted their best finish at HCC since 2005, put four runners in the Top-20 individual times.

The girls notched their second top-four finish at the meet in the last three years.

The lineup

Each school at the meet will have seven runners in the Boys and Girls Championship Races. The rest of the runners will compete in the Open Race or the Freshman and Sophomore race.

Brooke Dixon, Emma Cougill, Kiley VanNess, Alivia Gistrowsky, Isabella Maihofer, Olivia Limbil and Sydney Parpart will represent the girls' team in Terre Haute.

Alexander Freeman, Jacob Kodrick, Trevor Nolan, Panin Skiles, Kole Kelley, Brett Heckman and Adin Rademacher will run on the boys' side.
