Boys & Girls T&F Travel to Avon

The boys Bulldog track and field team traveled to Avon Tuesday evening to take on the Orioles. The Dogs lost a close battle to Avon, scoring 60 points to Avon's 72 points. Two school records fell last night on the boys side. Luke Lacey, Chris Williamson, Pierce Thomas, and Marcos Barbosa started off the track meet by running 44.81 in the 4x100 meter relay. That broke the 5 year old Freshmen record of 45.4 in the event. To end the night, the same group of Freshmen ran 3:36.17 breaking the 10 year old record of 3:37.3. In the field events, Kyle Flandermeyer was second in the Pole Vault, Dane Middlebrook was second in the Discus, Pierce Thomas was second in the Long Jump, and Marcos Barbosa won the High Jump. In the hurdle events, Leigh Nutall won the 110 meter hurdles, and was second in the 300 meter hurdles. Tyrone Griffin won the 300 meter hurdles, and was second in the 110 meter hurdles. In the sprint events, Bryce Kirtz won the 400 and was second in the 200, and Shai Sumpter-Bey was second in the 400. The Bulldog 4x400 meter relay team of Trey Fisher, Jack Parker, DQuesto Wright, and Myles Fisher won the final event of the night. The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday evening at home against Western Boone for senior night.

The girls track and field team brought home the B&O
Rotary bell as they defeated Avon Tuesday night. Winners included the DMR relay team of Brooke Dixon, Gabby Bische, and Michaela Barrett. Mackenzie Stien won the 100 hurdles, Brooke Dixon in the 800, Ali Ray and Emma Cougill took first and second in the 3200, Lizzie Daniels in the 200, and the 4x400 relay of Angie Neddeau, Brooke Dixon, and Ally Becky. Winners in the field events include Michaela Barrett and sweeping the pole was was Noelle Hiatt in first, Ali Ray second, and Gabby Bische in third. The girls next compete Thursday night at home for senior night against Western Boone. Come out and support our great seniors!
