Boys Swim/Dive Finishes Top 3 at HCC

On Saturday the Bulldog swimming and diving teams traveled to Fishers for the 2019 HCC Swimming and Diving Championship.

 

Last year the women were 5th and the men were 7th.  With a year of hard work and focusing on performing well at the HCC meet, both teams finished 3rd.  On the women's side, Fishers was first and Hamilton Southeastern was second while on the men's side it was Hamilton Southeastern first and Fishers 2nd ahead of the Bulldogs.

 

Leading the day with top 8 finishes were:

Elise Dahlke with 7th in the 200 Free and 5th in the 100 Free.

Caleb Peschke with 5th in the 200 Free and 6th in the 500 Free.

Jake Johnson with 7th in the 200 IM and 7th in the 500 Free.

Margie Miller with 8th in the 50 Free and 6th in the 100 Free.

Hannah Truax 5th in diving.

Maya Leman 7th in diving.

Emma Wolf 8th in diving.

Kale Davidson 7th in diving.

Noah Berryman with 4th in the 100 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Breast.

Nate Schaekel with 7th in the 100 Fly and 4th in the 100 Breast.

Lee Grimes with 8th in the 100 Free.

Maranda Peak with 6th in the 500 Free.

Logan Replogle with 7th in the 500 Free.

Jenny Dreessen with 3rd in the 100 Back.

 

Sophomore Austin Kehr was the HCC Champion in both the 50 and 100 Freestyles!

 

Top relay finishes were:

The men's 200 Medley Relay finished 3rd with Nate Schaekel, Noah Berryman, Caleb Anderson and Will Scott.

The women's 200 Free Relay finished 3rd with Margie Miller, Elise Dahlke, Julia Stonebreaker and Mara Gutzweiler.

The men's 200 Free Relay finished 2nd with Caleb Peschke, Jake Johnson, Will Scott and Austin Kehr.

And the men's 400 Free Relay finished 3rd with Jake Johnson, Caleb Peschke, Noah Berryman and Austin Kehr.

 

The teams will get back to training and preparing for the state tournaments in February.
