Bulldogs Swim/Dive Celebrate Seniors

Last night the swimming and diving teams split their meets with county rival Plainfield.  The Girls won easily 108-78 while the boys lost a close meet 96-89.  It was senior night for the Bulldogs.

 

Seniors Ava Davidson, Bailey LaPaugh, Becca Perkins, and Anna Santiago were honored from the Girl's team and Devon Anderson, Jack Kreilein, Noah Pearson, Gavin Wheat, Jacob Wilson, Jeremy Lawson, Sam Hughes and Devon Steinman were recognized on the boys team.

 

The girls team was led by wins from Joley Clodfelter in the 200 Free, Logan Replogle in the 200 IM and 500 Free, Elise Dahlke in the 100 Free, and the 200 Free Relay of Maria Gutzweiler, Joley Clodfelter, Bailey LaPaugh and Elise Dahlke.

 

Performer of the meet for the girls was Senior co-captain, Ava Davidson, who won the 100 Breast to help seal the win for team.

 

On the boys side, the depth of the Bulldogs kept them in the meet all night.  They started strong with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with Jack Kreilein, Noah Berryman, Devon Anderson and Austin Kehr.  Noah Berryman won the 100 Breast as well for the boys.

 

Performer of the meet for the boys was Freshman Austin Kehr, besides being a part of the winning 200 Medley Relay, Austin won the only other individual events for the Bulldogs, showing his versatility by winning the shortest race, the 50 Free and the longest race, the 500 Free.

 

Both teams are off until next Tuesday when they travel to sectional rival Ben Davis.
