The varsity boys' soccer team opened up Sectional play against arch rival Avon last night. The Bulldogs came out with an intense, pressing effort that put the Orioles under pressure, but the teams went into the half tied 0-0. The Bulldogs kept the pressure on, and Noah Yohannes, who played his most spirited game all season, notched the only goal of the night on a rebound effort in the 62nd minute. Jake Berry and the defense led by Gammon, Callahan, Ayres, and Humbert helped preserve the shutout. The Bulldogs will face the host Quakers at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening for the Sectional Championship.
