Brownsburg girls' cross-country runner Brooke Dixon capped off a stellar four-year career with a strong performance at the 2019 IHSAA Cross Country State Finals at LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. Dixon set a school record for the highest individual finish at the State Finals in Brownsburg school history.

Sydney Lesko's 12th place finish in 2009 was the previous high for the Brownsburg girls' cross-country program.

It was Dixon's third individual appearance in the IHSAA State Finals in her Brownsburg career. That number is the most in Brownsburg history.

Dixon's time of 18:28 was good enough for her season best and just two seconds off her personal best. She was nominated with an All-State and Indiana All-Star selection after the race.

Dixon improved on her two previous appearances in the IHSAA State Finals after 26th place and 43rd place finishes during her sophomore and junior seasons. She posted the second-highest finish of any Hooser Crossroads Conference runner at the meet.
