No. 16 @BHSDogsGirlsXC finishes 8th at IHSAA Semi-State; Dixon advances to state finals

GIRLS STATE TOURNAMENT | FULL RESULTS

The Brownsburg girls' cross country team competed in the IHSAA Cross Country Semi-State at Blue River Park in Shelbyville on October 26th. The Bulldogs finished 8th out of the 20 teams running at the meet and missed the cut to advance to the 2019 IHSAA Cross Country State Finals. 

The Bulldogs did make headlines individually however as Brooke Dixon will represent Brownsburg in the State Finals for the second consecutive season. She finshed fourth at the Semi-State to clinch her spot in the state meet next weekend.

The meet featured three of the top six teams in the IATCCC polls and seven ranked teams overall. No. 2 Zionsville claimed the Shelbyville Semi-State championship. 

Avon, Batesville, No. 9 Brebeuf, No. 16 Brownsburg, No. 12 Bishop Chatard, Cardinal Ritter, No. 4 Carmel, No. 6 Cathedral, Center Grove, Franklin, Franklin Central, Greensburg, Mt. Vernon, New Palestine, No. 13 Noblesville, Plainfield, Roncalli, Warren Central, Whiteland and No. 2 Zionsville all ran at the meet.

Dixon will run in the IHSAA Cross Country State Finals next week at Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The meet is set to kick off at 1:45 for the girls runners.
