No. 21 @BHSDogsGirlsXC finishes 8th at huge Nike Valley Twilight meet

The Brownsburg varsity Girls' cross country team notched an eighth-place finish at the loaded 2019 Nike Valley Twilight meet in Terre Haute, Indiana. The meet is run at Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course, the home for the upcoming 2019 IHSAA Cross Country State Finals. 

The meet featured 23 schools scattered across Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri and Illinois. Sixteen of those schools are ranked in their respective states. 

Brooke Dixon had yet another strong performance for the Bulldogs as she posted an 11th place finish. That mark was the third highest performance by a runner representing a school from Indiana and the second highest finish by an HCC runner. 

As a team, the Bulldogs put up a performance of 245 points which put them ahead of two Indiana schools that are currently ranked in the IATCCC poll. They finished ahead of three out-of state teams that are ranked.

The 2019 IHSAA Girls Cross Country State Tournament kicks off with the Sectional meet on October 12th. Brownsburg is a member of Sectional 17 which features Avon, Bethesda Christian, Brownsburg, Cascade, Cloverdale, Danville Community, Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam, Plainfield, Crawfordsville, Tri-West Hendricks, Southmont.

Brownsburg High School is the host for the meet.
