Girls XC Competes at Nike Valley Twilight
The Girls Cross Country team competed in the Nike Valley Twilight meet in Terre Haute on Saturday, and came away with a 10th place finish out of 18 very solid teams. The girls were lead by Brooke Dixon in a time of 19:02, Gabby Bische in 20:06, and nice pack running from the 3-7 runners including Alivia Gustrowsky, Ali Ray, Carly Altier, Sophie Britton, and Kiley Van Ness. The girls will begin the post-season tournament this Saturday as they travel to South Putnam for Sectional action.
In the Freshman/Sophomore race the girls finished 5th with the top 3 team spots going to Alexis Boccone, Isabella Maihofer, and Lindsay Huston. In the JV race the team placed 6th, with Faye Jessup leading a strong pack in 21:03, followed by Sarah Pitts, Emma Cougill, and Hannah Tippets. Great girls!
