Girls' XC Wins Avon Invite
The Girls Cross Country team competed in the Avon Invitational on Saturday morning and defeated 6 other teams to bring home the championship trophy! It was a great team race from the entire squad as the Bulldogs placed all 7 runners in the top 15 positions. Leading the pack was Junior Brooke Dixon who cruised to 1st place overall in a time of 19:32. She was backed up by Ali Ray (3rd), Sophie Britton (8th), Carly Altier (10th), Faye Jessup (13th), Kiley Van Ness (14th), and Alexis Boccone (15th). The girls will travel to Noblesville this Saturday for the Conference Meet.
The JV Team also put in a nice performance and took 2nd place in a very tight competition. Sarah Pitts lead the way for the team with her 3rd place overall finish in a time of 22:06. Just a few of the many great efforts were put in by Lindsay Huston, Hannah Tippets, Irene Amalaraj, and Amy Christian. Congratulations to these girls and the entire team on a job well done!
