Varsity Volleyball Falls to HSE

The Varsity volleyball team lost a tough match to Hamilton Southeastern tonight. In three close sets (scores 21-25, 15-25 and 21-25), the Bulldogs played fiercely.

Head coach Katie Maples says HSE challenged her team; "They did some things we have not seen yet. They were at a really quick offense and put a lot of pressure on our defense. We made some adjustments, but just a little too late. We haven't seen anybody that's done something like that, so it really exposed some things we need to work on. I think it was good from that standpoint of seeing what we've got to get better at."

Senior Skyy Smith led offense with 11 kills along with Junior Morgan Syeon who had 18 assists. For defense, Freshman Ella Hemmings racked up 22 digs.

The Bulldogs are back on Tuesday, September 3rd at home. They will play Mt. Vernon-Fortville with Varsity starting at 7:00 PM.
