Girls Track & Field Takes 2nd in Sectional

The girls track and field team finished runner-up in the Sectional meet Tuesday night. in the 1600,  Brooke Dixon is the sectional champion with a time of 5:08.69 followed by her teammate Abby Lynch in second with a time of 5:08.91. Abby Lynch followed that performance with a sectional win in the 800 meters. Katie Weldy had a great night in the discus throwing 117'07" to take first place! Mackenzie Stien is the runner-up in the 100 hurdles advancing to regionals. Jordan Griffin ran a personal best time of 60.5 to finish runner-up in the 400 and will also advance to regionals. Te'a Nibbs finished runner-up in the high jump with a jump of 4'10" to also advance. Other regional qualifiers are: the 4x800 relay of Gabby Bische, Isabella Maihofer, Ali Ray, and Sophie Britton with a 3rd place finish, Brooke Dixon and Ali Ray with a 2nd and 3rd place finish in the 3200, Noelle Hiatt jumped a personal best of 9'6" for a 3rd place finish, and the 4x400 relay of Lizzy Daniels, Annifa Kouton, Jordan Griffin and Abby Lynch with a runner-up finish. The girls will travel to Lafayette Jeff Tuesday for Regional Competition.
