Girls Track Falls to Zionsville

The girls track and field team hosted Zionsville Wednesday night as the Eagles came out on top with a final score of 69-59. The senior 4x800 relay of Gabby Bische, Anna Boone, Faye Jessup, and Ali Ray started the meet with a win. Mackenzie Stien had a season PR as she took first in the 100 hurdles followed by Michaela Barrett in 2nd. Other event winners include Laila Scott in the 300 hurdles and senior Ali Ray in the 3200. In the field events, senior Katie Weldy took first in the discus followed by Kaylee Price, and Te'a Nibbs took first in the long jump. The girls will compete Tuesday night at the IHSAA Sectional meet. Good lucks girls!
