Girls Track & Field Competes at HSR Qualifer

The girls track and field team traveled to IU Wednesday night to  compete in the Bloomington North Invite. It was a great meet for the girls! Mackenzie Stien started the night strong again as she broke the school record in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.48! Sophia frieden set a personal best and qualified for the finals finishing in 8th place. Lizzie Daniels had another great night winning the 60 meters with a new PR just short of the school record. Kendria Pratcher and Hailey Ortega also qualified for finals finishing in 7th and 8th place. Ali Ray finished 2nd in the mile with Emma Cougill in 4th. The 4x200 relay of Mackenzie Stien, Jordan Griffin, Siji Ketiku, and Lizzie Daniels placed 3rd. In the shot put Kaylee Price finished 2nd and Katie Weldy set a new personal best by 2 feet finishing in 4th place. The Distance Medley Relay of Abby Lynch, Michaela Barrett, and Brooke Dixon finished in first place with a State leading time of 12:18.65 just short of their state record from the 2018 season. The girls will travel to the University of Indianapolis on Saturday for the Indoor HCC meet. Good luck girls!
