Records Fall as Girls T&F Starts Indoor Season at WL

The girls track and field team had a great start to their indoor season at Purdue University on Friday night. Highlights of the meet include: Mackenzie Stien starting the night by advancing to the finals in the 55 hurdles and winning with a new school record time of 8.88! Brooke Dixon followed that event with a win in the 3200 meter run. Lizzie Daniels qualified for the finals in the 55 meters, placing 5th overall and placing 4th in the 200 meters. Michaela Barrett placed 6th in the 400 meters. Freshman, Jordan Griffin ran a personal best time in the 200 meters to place 7th. Kaylee Price qualified for the finals in the shot put and placed 9th. Abby Lynch finished the night by winning the 400 meter run in an indoor school record time of 59.16! Abby also had a big night earlier in the meet in the 800 meter run. She set a new indoor school record with a time of 2:12.10. This is also an all-time best in the state of Indiana for a high school girl. Congrats to Abby on a new Indiana State Record! The girls will travel to Indiana University to compete in the Bloomington North Invite on Wednesday. Go Bulldogs!
