T&F Competes in First Outdoor Meet

The Varsity Boys Bulldog track team squared off against Lebanon High School and Speedway High School on a chilly Monday night in their very first outdoor meet of the season. The boys finished in first place, scoring 99 points to Lebanon's 44 points and Speedway's 24 points. Brownsburg won all but 4 events on the day. Junior Bryce Kirtz won the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. Senior Leigh Nutall won the 110 Hurdles and placed 2nd in the Long Jump. Freshmen Luke Lacey won the 400 meter dash and Junior Matthew Albert won the pole vault. Junior Tyrone Griffin won the 300 meter hurdles and placed 2nd in the 110 meter hurdles. Junior Reis Thomas won the discus and was 2nd in the shot put. Dane Middlebrook won the Shot put. Freshman Pierce Thomas won the Long Jump and finished 2nd in the 200 meter dash. The bulldogs will travel to Decatur Central for their first invitational of the season on Friday.

 

The girls track and field team competed Tuesday night against Lebanon and Speedway taking first place with a final score of 65-49-12. The 4 x 800 relay team of Brooke Dixon, Carly Altier, and Ally Becki started the meet off with a first place finish. Other winners for the night included Mackenzie Stein in the 100 hurdles, Joy Sopitan in the 100 meters, Sarah Pitts in the 1600, Michaela Barrett in the 300 hurdles, Brooke Dixon in the 800 meters, Ali Ray in the 3200, and the 4 x 400 relay of Michaela Barrett, Brooke Dixon, and Ally Becki. First place finishers in the field events were Roni Roberts in the shot put and discus, Ali Ray in the pole vault, and Mackenzie Barrett in high jump. The team will compete Friday night at the Decatur Central Invite. Go Bulldogs!
