Girls T&F Competes at Purdue University

The girls track and field team began their indoor season Saturday at Purdue University. Joy Sopitan had a great start as she placed 4th in the 55 meter and 5th in the 200 meter run. Lizzie Daniels also had a great start as she placed 4th in the 200 meter run. Freshman Lauren Rinehart and Brooke Dixon took 3rd and 4th place in the mile out of 46 entries. Freshman Carly Altier had a great start to her high school career placing 11th in the 800 out of 58 entries. In the field events, Mackenzie Barrett and Mackenzie Harless are off to a great start placing 2nd and 4th, Ali Ray placed 5th in the pole vault, and Veronika Roberts placed 6th in the shot put. The girls have a busy week this week and will be in competition Tuesday at Wabash, Wednesday at IU, and Saturday will compete in the HCC indoor meet. Good luck girls!
