JV Loss
The JV girls track team was came up just short to a tough Westfield team Thursday night. Battling the cold and windy weather several girls showed the results of their hard work with some great performances. Sophomore Hope McQueen sprinted her way to 1st place in the 100m Hurdles and also placed 2nd in the 300m Hurdles. Freshman Adrienne Smith took 1st place in the shot put with her best throw of over 30 ft, while teammate Lauren Scott placed 3rd. The 4x100 relay team of Lisa Thacker, Sophie O'Neil, Alex Gutzweiler, and Jacklyn Batayneh put in a solid race finishing 2nd by less than one second. Freshman Olivia Zoog put in one of her best times of the season in the 2 mile race, while fellow distance runner Alli Kent set a new personal record in the 1 mile race. Congrats to all the girls on their good night!
