Girls' Track Competes at HCC Meet

The girls track team finished seventh in the HCC meet last night at Zionsville. Laura Bess was the lone conference champ on the night for the Bulldogs going 5:04 in the 1600! Others who scored on the night were Florence Akinribade ninth in the 100 meters, Tavon McCollum seventh in the 400 meters, Bess and Sydney Lesko second and fifth in the 3200, Sibong Ncube second in the 100 meter hurdles, Kerry Devney third in the 300 meter hurdles, the 4x800 relay of Lesko, Julia Popenfoose, KJ Gaerke, and Rachel Smith seventh, and the 4x400 relay team of Jolori Schafer, Morgan Weller, Lauren Markovich, and Kerry Devney placed sixth. Caitlin Dressler placed eighth in the high jump. The girls travel to Plainfield on Tuesday for sectional competition.
