Girls' Swim Takes 3rd at HCC Invite

The Lady Aquadogs took 3rd at the HCC Invitational this weekend with a score of 315.5. The Dogs were slated for a 229 score, but bumped that up to take home a top three victory. 

Fishers came out on top with a score of 508.5, with Hamilton Southeastern coming in 2nd with a score of 421. The Dogs followed in 3rd and Zionsville took 4th with a score of 243. Noblesville came in 5th with 208, Westfield was 6th with 166, Franklin Central was next with 123 and Avon rounded out the 8 teams with a score of 118. 

The team of junior Maria Gutzweiler, senior Joley Clodfelter, senior Julia Stonebraker and sophomore Margaret Miller came in 5th in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:53.42, dropping 1.42 seconds. Sophomore M. Miller came in 5th in the 50 Free with a time of 25.12 and 5th in the 100 Free with a time of 54.34, dropping 1.11 seconds. 

Sophomore Annika Schaekel came in 6th in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:01.62. Senior Elise Dahlke came in 6th in the 100 Free with a time of 54.87. 

The relay team of junior Maria Gutzweiler, senior Dahlke, senior Stonebraker and sophomore M. Miller came in 3rd in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:41.48, dropping 1.16 seconds. 

In the 400 Free Relay, the team of junior Rory Smith, senior Clodfelter, sophomore Schaekel and senior Dahlke came in 4th with a time of 3:46.20. 

The Aquadogs are back on Tuesday, January 14 at home vs. Plainfield at 5:30 PM.
