The varsity girls' soccer team moved to 6-3-3 on the season after a 1-1 result with No. 8 Fishers on Sept. 18.

Fishers struck early in the match off a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper. In just the fourth minute, the Tigers grabbed a 1-0 lead off Sydney McFarland's goal. The Tigers would threaten to add to their lead on multiple occasions in the early-goings but the Bulldogs weathered the storm.

Brownsburg found their footing as momentum flipped around the midway point of the second half. The Bulldogs poured on chance after chance, but to no avail. Arguably Brownsburg's best opportunity of the night came just before the end of the half. Grace Crawford's scorcher from straight on had the goalie beat but instead hooked wide.

Fishers led the shot count 6-3 and the score 1-0 at the break.

The Bulldogs' goal would also come early in a half. In the 43rd minute, Jayden Gibson sent in a corner kick from the near side that Lenie Dawson used to tie the match.

Coming into tonight, the Tigers hadn't allowed a goal in over 155 minutes. The Bulldogs snapped that stretch with their equalizer early in the second half.

Brownsburg would continue to put the Tigers on their heels in the second half, but the scoreboard did not represent it. Brownsburg outshot the Tigers 4-2 in the second half. In the match as a whole, the Bulldogs had eight corners to Fishers' two.

The Bulldogs earned second and third opportunities on more than one occasion in the second half. Kylie Conrad had one of the Bulldogs' better chances off a shot from short distance that went wide right.

Brownsburg held off a late surge from the Tigers and the match ended tied at 1.

The Bulldogs' next match is on Saturday (Sept. 21) against No. 4 Noblesville.
