Grace Crawford's two-goal second half performance sparked a comeback by the varsity girls' soccer team against Class 2A No. 3 Brebeuf on Aug. 22. With roughly 20 minutes left in the match, the Bulldogs were able to erase a 2-0 deficit and tie the game in the 79th minute.

After a sluggish start to the match the Bulldogs were in a scoreless stalemate at the half. Brownsburg's back line was key as Brebeuf mustered four consecutive corner kicks that were thwarted by the Bulldogs near the 15th minute.

But just four minutes into the second-half, Paige Edens found the back of the net for Brebeuf to give the Braves a 1-0 lead. The Braves then grabbed a 2-0 lead off a shot from Sophie Weeter.

Facing a loss in their first match, the Brownsburg offense would quickly find its rhythm.

Crawford's first goal would come just one minute after Brebeuf grabbed a two-goal cushion. Her shot from the far side of the goalie box found the back of the net. After beating the goalie one on one, Crawford's equalizer was scored on an empty net.

Mallory Guy and Courtney Kreilen assisted on the goals.

The Bulldogs will continue their 2019 campaign on Aug. 28 as they host Class 3A No. 2 and Hoosier Crossroads foe Hamilton Southeastern.
