The varsity girls' soccer team is set to open their 2019 regular season campaign with a trip to take on Mooresville Saturday, August 17th. The junior varsity game will kick off at 10 a.m. with the varsity match up to follow.

About the Bulldogs

Brownsburg wrapped up their pre-season slate with a scrimmage against the defending IHSAA Class 3A state champion Carmel Greyhounds on August 15th. Madeline Dawsonscored both goals for the Bulldogs in the scrimmage.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 12-5-1 campaign in 2018 that saw them advance to the Sectional Semi-Final. The Brownsburg attack is led by duo Taelyn Hendrickson and Kylie Conrad who will headline the Bulldogs this season. Hendrickson is coming off a 12-goal campaign in 2018 while Conrad played in all 18 matches and scored five goals as just a freshman last year.

On the other side of the ball, five of the Bulldogs' six backs from 2018 will suit up again in 2019.

About Mooresville

Mooresville is coming off a 9-6-3 record in 2018 and their first winning season since 2015. The Pioneers were second in the Mid-State conference with a 5-1 record and fell to Avon in the opening round of the IHSAA State Tournament.

The Pioneers are looking to replace over 85 percent of their goal scoring from last season. That number includes a state-leading 43-goal mark from current Indiana women's soccer player and former Pioneer Jacelyn Smith. Their lead returner statistically is Lexi Curry who scored 5 times in her junior campaign while dishing out 15 assists for the Pioneers.
