Bulldogs Upset State #10 Avon in Sectional Opener

The girls' soccer team defeated 10th ranked Avon in the first round of the IHSAA sectional on Monday night.

Savanna Bunn scored the game's only goal with 25 minutes remaing, and a gritty defensive performance by the Bulldogs preserved a shutout for keeper Alex Gotkowski.

The Bulldogs advance to the semifinal on Thursday at 5:00 at BHS, where they will face Southmont.  The Mounties were 3-1 overtime winners against Crawfordsville on Monday night.
