No.3 @BHSDogsWrestlin places third at IHSWCA State Duals

The Brownsburg varsity wrestling team went 3-1 at the 2020 IHSCWA Class 3A Team State Duals for a third-place finish in the event. The Bulldogs failed to extend their streak of four consecutive IHSCWA Class 3A Team State Duals championships but still displayed a strong showing as five of their wreslters went undefeated.

The Bulldogs opened the day with a pair of wins in their Tournament Pool. Brownsburg was grouped with Penn and No.8 Carmel in Pool C. The Bulldogs dominated the Kingsmen 62-3 and beat the Greyhounds 39-12. The pair of wins sealed a spot in the IHSCWA Class 3A Team State Duals semi-final and a date with No.2 ranked Evansville Mater Dei.
The Bulldogs fell to the Wildcats but the Brownsburg still took down three of Mater Dei's top-ten wrestlers in the IndianaMat.com Individual State Rankings. 138-pound Drake Campbell defeated the No.1 ranked wrestler in the state, Blake Boarman, in the match.
The loss to Mater Dei bumped Brownsburg to the third place match against No.5 Warren Central. The Bulldogs would win seven bouts to take down the Warriors 30-27.
