Avon comes in at No.8 in the latest IndianaMat.com Overall Team rankings and has six wrestlers who are ranked in the website's Individual State Rankings. That list includes 126-pound Raymond Rioux who was an IHSAA State Finals runner-up last season and is ranked No.1.

The Orioles also have the No.3 wrestler at 106, Cheaney Schoeff, the No.4 wrestler at 132, Tyler Conley, the No.3 wrestler at 145, Jaden Reynolds, the No. 15 wrestler at 138, Blaze Garcia, and the No.12 wrestler at 195, Josh Jones, the according to IndianaMat.

     Loaded Rivalry Dual

After both teams finished among the top-three teams at the 2019 IHSAA Wrestling State Finals, the trend of talented wrestling in the Brownsburg/Avon rivalry has continued into this season. Both teams are ranked in the top-ten of Indiana Mat's Overall Team rankings heading into the rivalry dual.

There are seventeen IndianaMat-ranked wrestlers between Avon and Brownsburg including nine top-five wrestlers. The loaded field sets up the potential for four ranked matchups at the dual including a pair of top-five matchups at 106 and 126.

Although the two teams have split the last eight meetings in the series Brownsburg will look to extend their four-match win streak over Avon in Thursday's dual. Last season, the Orioles came to the Varsity Fieldhouse and were handed a 36-17 loss.
