No.16/18 @bhsdogsghoops storms past Pike with third-quarter surge

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team beat Pike 53-28 in its final non-conference game of the regular season. Allison Bosse and Ally Becki combined for 27 points in the win for the Bulldogs

The result gave the Bulldogs their sixth win in their last seven tries. Brownsburg has averaged a 20.2 margin of victory over that stretch.

Brownsburg led wire-wire in the game after jumping out to a 7-0 first quarter lead over the Red Devils. Ally Becki scored 7 points in the second quarter and Brownsburg was on top of Pike 19-12 at the break.

The Bulldogs made a living in the third quarter as they outscored Pike 16-3. Allison Bosse and Mackenzie Stien knocked down a pair of threes and Brownsburg led 27-12 early in the quarter.

The game was mostly out of reach by the end of the third quarter. Brownsburg's cushion had grown to 35-15 at that point in the game.

Thirteen different players saw the court in the big win.

     Up Next

The Bulldogs will return home this Friday to play HCC foe Westfield for Senior Night. The matchup will tip off at 6 p.m. and is the front-end of a Girls/Boys varsity doubleheader.
