The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team fell to No.5/6 Fishers 52-43 on January 17. The Bulldogs second-half surge came up short and Brownsburg moved to 13-8 on the year.

Allison Bosse and Mackenzie Bedrick led the Bulldogs with 12 points apiece in the game. For Bedrick, it was her highest scoring output since she put up 16 points In the Bulldogs win over North Central on November 9th.

The Bulldogs jumped out of the gate for eight quick points in the game. As a whole it was a promising start as Brownsburg led Fishers 13-5 in the opening quarter. Fishers would battle back to level the score at 15 at the end of one.

The Tigers jumped out to a double figure lead in the second with a big surge and took a 35-19 advantage into the locker room.

The Bulldogs would battle back in the second half, trimming the score to as few as five points in the fourth quarter. Brownsburg hit six threes in the second half (ten in the game) as the Bulldogs inched closer and closer to the Tigers.

Despite outscoring Fishers 24-17 in the second half, the Bulldogs' halftime deficit was too much to overcome and their comeback attempt fell short.
