No.12/14 @bhsdogsghoops blows away Plainfield for county crown

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball claimed its second consecutive Hendricks County championship with a 55-32 win over Plainfield in the 2020 Hendricks County Girls' Basketball Tournament final.

Allison Bosse scored 15 points for Brownsburg and pitched in 5 rebounds and 2 steals in the win. Mackenzie Stien had 10 points, two rebounds and 6 assists. Ally Becki scored 6 points and grabbed 10 boards.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the first quarter as Becki scored six early points. Plainfield responded with a nice surge to make it 11-8 after one quarter. Brownsburg nailed a trio of three-pointers in the second quarter, including a pair from Bosse, to lead Plainfield 22-18 at halftime.

Brownsburg tightened the clamps even further as the Quakers scored just three points in the third quarter. Plainfield didn't register a bucket until the final minute of the third as Brownsburg went on an 18-3 run.

The Bulldogs continued their run in the fourth quarter and were able to have nine different scorers in the matchup.

     Up Next

The Bulldogs will return to Hoosier Crossroads Conference play as they head to take on No.4/4 Fishers on January 17. The matchup will tipoff a girls' and boys' varsity basketball doubleheader.
