No.13/12 @bhsdogsghoops takes down previously-unbeaten No.12/11 Harrison

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team defeated No.12/11 Harrison on December 17 handing the Raiders their first loss of the season. Allison Bosse scored a game-high 26 points to go with 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in the win for Brownsburg.

Mackenzie Stein scored 10 points for Brownsburg while Ally Becki totaled 4 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, two blocks and two steals.

The Bulldogs were able to sneak out of West Lafayette with a win despite shooting 28 fewer free throws than the Raiders. The game as a whole was a foul fest as the two sides combined for 58 free throws.

Brownsburg led Harrison 10-6 after the first quarter and kickstarted their offense with an 8-1 run to open the second quarter. The Bulldogs outscored Harrison 12-5 in the second quarter to double up on the Raiders at the half.

Bosse scored 13 points in the first half to lead Brownsburg to a 22-11 advantage over Harrison.

Brownsburg's lead would swell near to double figures in the fourth quarter, but the Raiders made a push to trim the lead. In the end, Brownsburg was able to hold off Harrison for the win.

The Bulldogs will host Avon on December 20 in a battle for the B&O Trail Rotary Bell at the Varsity Fieldhouse. The matchup is set to tip off at 6 p.m. and will kick-start a Girls' and Boys' varsity basketball doubleheader.
