Girls' Basketball Wins Second Straight County Championship

The girls' basketball team won the Hendricks County Tournament on Saturday night defeating Plainfield, 57-35.  The Bulldogs have now won the tournament three out of the past four years.

The Dogs played great defense throughout the game, holding Plainfield to just 14 points in the first half and 20 points below their offensive average at the end of the night.  The first two quarters proved to be a defensive battle with both teams forcing turnovers and quick shots.  The Dogs entered halftime up, 17-14. 

The Dogs would take off in the final 16 minutes of play outscoring the Quakers by 19 to seal the victory.   The Dogs shot well, with a 59.5% from the floor. 

Stephanie Mavunga hit 10 - 11 shots from the field and finishing the night with a game high 24 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks.  Lindsey Dall hit 6 of 9 shots from the field, finishing with 12 points.  Ryne Carr played great defense and dished out five assists.  Morgan Miller finished the night with six points, five assists and four rebounds.  

The Dogs improve to 14-2 on the year and face an undefeated McCutcheon on Wednesday night.
