Bulldogs Rout County Foe Danville 75-23

The varsity girls' basketball team found their shooting touch on Friday night shooting over 50% from the field and defeating Danville, 75-23.   The Dogs hit a season high 6 three point shots, with 5 of them being scored in the first two quarters of action.

The Dogs had balanced scoring throughout the game, with 11 girls scoring during the contest.  Stephanie Mavunga led the Dogs with 12 points on 6 of 10 shooting.  Erika Lesch hit 3 of 5 shots from behind the three point arc, finishing with 11 points and 4 rebounds. 

Alaura McKemie also found her touch behind the 3 point line,  hitting 2 of 2 from downtown and finishing with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. 

Lindsey Dall was the rebound leader with 9 boards, 5 on the offensive end of the court. 

Shelby Morphew and Elissa Hall each showed tremendous hustle and made great contributions to the game, combining for 6 points and 4 boards.   Mackenzie Trout and Kayle Comer saw some good minutes of varsity play.  Comer hit a 3 in the fourth quarter and Trout hit two turnaround jump shots in the post.   

The Dogs face Center Grove at the Varsity Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
