Girls' Basketball Team Improves to 4-1

The varsity girls' basketball team traveled to Lafayette Jefferson on Saturday night to face the defending HCC champions.

The Dogs got off to a fast start scoring 16 points in the first quarter and 29 in the half.  The Dogs played great defense holding Jeff to 10 points in 16 minutes of action.  The Dogs continued to play well in the second half and came home with a big conference win, 46-29. 

Stephanie Mavunga led the Dogs with 15 points, nine in the first quarter.  Mavunga also pulled down nine boards. 

Erika Lesch hit a big three and ended the night with seven points and three offensive boards. 

Katie Reinhart had a career high eight rebounds, six of which were secured on the offensive end.  Lindsey Dall grabbed eight rebounds and ended the night with four steals. 

Morgan Miller did a great job directing the offense and dished out four assists.  

The Dogs travel to Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday night to face the eighth ranked team in the state.
