JV Win

Thursday evening the JV Purple softball team traveled to Southport to face the Cardinals and came home with a 14-0 victory. The victory pushed them to 16-0 on the year with three games remaining.

Sophomore Mallerie Gordon started the game and earned the win by throwing a strong game with one walk, two hits and two strike outs. Junior Ciara Casteel came in to close the game throwing two innings of shutout ball.

Offensively sophomore Tori Breckler led the way going 4-4 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a stolen base. 10 of the 11 players had a hit for the game for a total team win.

The JV Purple team next plays Saturday at home against Franklin Central. The game is scheduled for 3:00 pm and the JV ladies hope to avenge one of their two losses from last year and keep their 36 game winning streak alive. Come out on Saturday to support them and enjoy this weather.
