JV Win

The JV Purple softball team took to their home field to defend against conference rival Noblesville. They ended the evening with a hard fought 3-0 victory.

Sophomore Emily Walkup led the way at the plate going 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Sophomore Ciara Casteel was also huge going 2-3, scored two runs and had two steals. Freshman Kiersten Huff had one hit, two stolen bases and scored a run, sophomore Lydia Twomey and junior Rachel Young also had hits with Young getting an RBI also.

Sophomore Lydia Twomey pitched a complete game for the win, giving up three hits with five strikeouts only two walks.

The JV Purple ladies next play tonight at home against the Carmel Greyhounds starting at 5:30.
