JV Loss

The JV Purple softball team traveled to Zionsville Tuesday evening to test their talents against conference rival Zionsville. They left Zionsville still unbeaten at 10-0 on the year with a 12-1 victory.

They started off slow offensively but finished strong with every batter that stepped to the plate came away with at least one hit. They had 13 hits while scoring 12. Leading the way was sophomore Raegan Bucksot going 2-3 with a double and triple, one walk, scored two runs and had two RBI. Also contributing to the win was junior Rachel Young who was 2-3 with a double, scored one run, one walk and two RBI.

The pitching was solid with sophomore Lydia Twomey throwing a five-inning complete game. Twomey allowed only three hits while striking out three with one base on balls. She faced 22 batters on the night and kept her record perfect with the win.

The JV Purple ladies next play Thursday evening at county rival Plainfield.
