JV Win

The JV Purple softball team traveled to Fishers Tuesday evening to take on another Conference foe and left the game with a 9-1 victory over the Tigers. The victory makes them 5-0 on the year and 2-0 in HCC conference play.

Junior Ciara Casteel started in the circle and earned the win by pitching five strong innings, striking out 4, giving up 5 hits, no base on balls and 0 runs. The defense was solid behind her yielding no errors and getting a couple of double plays.

Freshman Natalie Metzger came in to pitch two innings, getting one strike out, gave up one hit and one run in her first JV purple action.

Offensively Freshman Vivianne Harris led the way going 3-4, with a stolen base and scoring one run. Freshman Harley Maples was 2-3 with a stolen base and a clutch triple to break the game open and Freshman Taylor Ballenger was 2-2 with a two-run homerun and 3 RBI.

The JV Purple team next plays at 6:00 pm, Tuesday April 24th at home against conference rival Westfield. Come out and support them as they look to stay unbeaten.
