JV Win

Tuesday evening the JV Purple softball team took to their home diamond against county rival and conference rival Avon looking for the second head-to-head victory in a row over their arch rivals. They went home with a 7-4 team victory where everyone contributed.

Sophomore Lydia Twomey pitched the complete game to gain the win. She gave up two earned runs with three strikeouts and two base on balls, while showing complete control of the game in the victory.

Offensively sophomore Emily Walkup was 2-3 with her first homerun of the season and three RBI to lead the team and freshman Vivianne Harris subbed in to go 2 for 2 scoring two runs. She was clutch while coming into a one run game and ignoring the pressure.

Their next contest is Thursday at home against powerhouse Center Grove. Please come out and support the lady dogs as the weather is forecasted in the 70's.
