JV Win

On a downright Africa-hot evening for softball, the Brownsburg JV White squad traveled to Lawrence Central and came home with their 10th victory of the season.

The Dogs pounded out 19 hits and got a workman-like effort from freshman pitcher Emilee Deitche to defeat the host Bears 22-2.

Freshman Natalie Metzger pounded out five hits, including three doubles, and scored four runs to lead the offensive onslaught for White.  Freshman Taylor Ballinger hit a two-run homer to go along with two doubles to compliment Metzger's career night.  Deitche and fellow freshmen Carmen Siebens, Bri Howard, and Olyvia Bacon each also garnered two hits for the Dogs.  Every Dog hitter managed at least one base hit over the five frames.

Defensively, Deitche shook off the heat and humidity to scatter four hits while striking out five and walking just two.

The JV White team closes out their season on Friday, at home against the Ben Davis Giants.
