JV Win

On a beautiful, sun-splashed day for softball, the Brownsburg JV White nine defeated the visiting Chatard Trojans 8-6 behind a gritty pitching performance by freshman Natalie Metzger.

Metzger went the distance for the Dogs, scattering 8 hits while striking out 6.

Offensively, the JV White squad broke out of a minor funk by collecting ten hits.  Leading the way for the Dogs were freshmen Macee Gipson, Taylor Ballinger, Carmen Siebens, and Makayla Mills.  Gipson was 3 for 4 on the day, with 2 runs scored and an RBI.  Ballinger's 2 for 4 effort was highlighted by the games' biggest moment, a two-run homer in the bottom of the 6th which gave the Dogs the final two runs that proved the difference.  Siebens and Mills each added two hits, as both kept their recent offensive hot streak going.

The JV White squad will compete in the Carmel JV invite this Saturday, with their first game against Carmel scheduled for 9:00 am.
