Behind a complete game pitching performance by freshman Emilee Deitche, the Brownsburg JV White softball team scratched and clawed their way to a 4-3 victory Thursday night over Cascade.

Deitche struck out 8 Cadets and scattered 10 hits over the 7 innings, while pitching out of tough spots in the middle and late innings.

Offensively, the squad used a 3-run 3rd inning to take a lead which they never relinquished.  Freshman Bri Howard was 2 for 3 for the Dogs, while Deitche and fellow freshmen Natalie Metzger, Taylor Ballinger, and Macee Gipson all delivered timely doubles.

The JV White returns to action on Monday, taking on a traditionally strong Franklin Central team.
