#20 Bulldogs Defeat #14 Irish

The #20 ranked Brownsburg Bulldogs took down the #14 ranked Cathedral Irish in an exciting back and forth, extra inning contest Monday night. Freshman, Olivia Calero started the game in the circle for the Dogs, striking out two. Senior, Elissa Brown came in and secured the win in the 5th inning, striking out 1 and allowing only 4 runs, all earned.

In the 8 innings played, the Bulldogs had a team total of 17 hits. They were led by senior catcher, Kyleigh Vaught who was 3 for 5 and had a triple to start her night off. Mackenzie Bedrick, went 3 for 6 and had 2 RBI's for the Dogs, and Sydney Rodeghier and Hayley Huff both had two hits and added 2 RBI's a piece to the Bulldog offense. Other Bulldogs who added to the offense were, Sophie Bosket, with 2 hits and 1 RBI, Marah Wood who had 2 hits, Elissa Brown, who had 1 hit and 1 RBI, and Claire Flick who had 2 hits.

The Bulldogs are on the road again Tuesday and Wednesday evening to finish their regular season schedule. Tuesday will be held at Hamilton Southeastern against the HSE Royals at 6pm.
