Bulldogs Score 2 Wins Over Weekend

Over the weekend the Bulldogs faced off with the Lebanon Tigers for the first game of their double header. They defeated the tigers 5-3 in a 7 inning game. Elissa Brown was the winning pitcher in the contest, and freshman, Olivia Calero came in and had the save in the 7th.

Offensively, the team was led by Junior, Hayley Huff, whose bat was hot from the very first inning. Huff, the number two batter, started things off with a 2-run homer and finished 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Also, adding to the Bulldog's 12 hits were seniors, Elissa Brown and Claire Flick, who both had 2 hits that game.

 

In their second match up for the day, the Bulldogs took on the South Dearborn Knights, defeating them 5-2. Freshman, Olivia Calero pitched all 7 innings of the contest, striking out 1 and allowing only 5 hits total.

The Bulldogs strung together 9 hits to put together the 5-2 win. Calero helped herself on offense as well going 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Skyla Bilski and Sydney Rodeghier both had 1 hit and added 1 RBI a piece to the Bulldog offense. Other Bulldogs who added a hit to the offense were Anna Carroll, Maicey Bedrick, Hayley Huff and Kyleigh Vaught.

The Bulldogs have another busy week ahead of them with 4 games on the schedule. Tonight they will host Lawrence North for Senior Night at home. Come out and support your seniors, Claire Flick, Elissa Brown and Kyleigh Vaught.
